About this role: This role provides specialist advice and services to staff at all levels on injury management and wellbeing. This role also provides high-level expertise, advice, and assistance in relation to compensable and non-compensable injuries, return to work programs, and assists in proactive management of issues that may affect workers’ wellbeing’.

What We’re Looking For:  Icon Water is looking for an Injury Management Advisor to work with Health and Safety Business Partners following workplace incidents/investigations and collaborate closely with People and Culture Business Partners to support leaders and employees across the business. Within Icon Water, there is a strong focus on early intervention that underpins all aspects of the role.

Who we are looking for: We’re seeking a dedicated individual who hasTertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as human resources, business, law, health sciences, rehabilitation, or physiotherapy. You will also require:

  • A minimum of five years recent experience in managing workers compensation and income protection claims, including end-to-end case coordination and insurer liaison.
  • Strong working knowledge of the ACT Workers Compensation Act 1951 and other relevant legislation, including privacy, anti-discrimination, and employment law.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing return-to-work plans, including alternative duties and reasonable adjustments. Holds the currenct WorkSafe ACT recognised Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • Familiarity with industrial and employee relations and their application in injury management and workplace adjustments.
