Job Description

About this role:  

This position is within the Customer Engagement Group. This role reports to Asset Information Systems Supervisor and has the primary responsibility for support to CX11061 Lower Molonglo (LM) Bioreactors within the Asset Information Services Team. Role will perform onboarding of asset data (into the Engineering Asset Register), asset records, and drawings. Role has an Operational Readiness focus and will support ensuring that fit-for-purpose asset data, asset records, and drawings are delivered by the project.
 

Other Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Under the direction from the Asset Data Coordinator, determine and specify structural updates to the asset hierarchy including asset numbering (to the individual asset level) for new assets installed as part of the project. Ensuring the needs of the operational and strategic users are met.
  • Under the direction from the Asset Data Coordinator maintain processes to align assets contained in the Asset Management and Maintenance System and assets contained within the GIS including linear assets.
  • Liaise with project staff to obtain asset data for new assets, and maintenance staff to confirm asset data and information accuracy.
  • Undertake asset information quality audits to ensure business expectations are met. Assist in the processing of records into Corporate Record Management Systems.
  • Other Asset Records and Information Management tasks as required to support effective and efficient onboarding of Asset Data and Records from Capital Project Delivery Team to Icon Water’s operational asset, works and document management systems.
  • Provide drawing management system support to ensure accuracy of information, timely capture, and management of drawings.
  • Provide quality checks of Consultant/Contractor drawings against Icon Water Standards and provide guidance to Consultant/Contractor on best practice to comply with Icon Water Standards.
  • Complete drafting tasks, not covered by Consultant/Contractor’s drawing requirements where required. E.g. Development Application Drawings or Drawings to assist Operations interfacing.
  • Other duties within the employee’s skill, competence, and training.

Who we are looking for:  We are looking for suitable candidate who holds relevant trade or higher qualifications in engineering or drafting discipline in either mechanical, electrical or instrumentation. 

You should also have the following experience: 

  • Strong computer-based software skills to carry out work tasks, in particular Microsoft Excel and SharePoint. 
  • Skills in the formulation, analysis and evaluation of a range of technical data with the use of computerised systems. 
  • Experience in the identification, collection and recording of asset information. 
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings. 
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate data associated with Asset Information systems. 
  • Experience in the use and/or implementation of computer-based maintenance and works management systems. 
  • Experience with development and/or maintenance of engineering asset process/functional hierarchies and registers. 
  • Experience with interpreting technical documentation relating to engineering systems. 
  • Knowledge and experience of Geographic Information Systems. 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
